Selling a 1996 Cadillac Fleetwood in good condition. Last of the big body Cadillacs! This car has the Corvette LT1 engine (350) and a new GM transmission! Cloth interior in good condition, some spots here and there, but no tears in seats...some spots on carpet here and there, as expected for a '96. Side pillar does have some tear marks. Facia under steering wheel is loose. Battery tray needs replacing, along with hold down. Gas tank straps replaced, but could use a weld in rear of tank as it's being held by three straps (had professionally checked and not ready to fall out or anything, but should be repaired eventually). Since it is rear wheel drive, the previous owner drove it for a few winters, so that is why has some rust spots by gas tank. Rest of undercarriage is OK. Could use a new rear bumper from the pick and pull as it has some rust spots and rubber strip broken. Rust starting above pass skirt around 4inch by 1 inch. Also between doors on pillar. Neither rusted though, but see pics. See detailed pic around gas tank area, that has rust though areas and will need patching. Selling as I don't want to drive this in the winter. I bought another Caddy instead that is fwd. The 93-96 Caddy's with the LT1s are becoming more and more collectible, and this one doesn't need much to get it to the next level. Rare gray metallic color. After I did all work on the car, I noticed the radiator fluid was a little low, and I think it is weeping from the water pump. When you first start the car, the power steering is sometimes hard to turn, and I was told the antifreeze drips on the serpentine belt, and make it slip when you first start. Just checked rad level today and it was fine, so must be a slow leak. Assume new water pump, antifreeze flush, and maybe belt. It does have a few minor dings and scratches, and a few minor surface rust spots on paint, but as you can see in pics, car looks nice, and all bottom stainless looks nice. Car also has new tires! You can see the blue is still on the period correct radial whitewalls, as they have only 100 miles or so on them. Just used this Caddy mainly for Car Cruise nights and shows this summer. I'm sure I could part out an make more, especially the new trans and chrome trim, but didn't think was a good idea as someone can repair the gas tank areas, and fix rad leak. Starting price is less than the new transmission. Shop also put a huge truck type transmission cooler in the car when the trans was rebuilt/installed. Car shifts/drives nice! Cars like this in mint condition are selling for well over 10K! No vinyl roof, which typically rots out anyway on these cars. I am third owner, and original owner was a funeral home, so was well taken car of for first 100K or so. Next owner was a Caddy lover, retired guy, who owned it for a few years, then me. AC blows nice and cold (fan is loud on high though). New windshield. Recently passed inspection. New transmission and new tires are worth more than starting bid! Back seat is like a living room couch :) This car floats down the road, and is pretty fast for a Caddy. I encourage inspections before buying. For sale locally too.
